By examining the current landscape, challenges, impact, and opportunities, this discussion paper seeks to inform strategic interventions that align with Bangladesh’s climate adaptation and mitigation goals while ensuring sustainable development. This paper is based on a desk review of contemporary literature, policy documents, and news articles related to international climate finance and Bangladesh’s preparedness to leverage such funding. The analysis synthesizes insights from academic studies, government reports, and multilateral development organizations to provide a comprehensive overview of the current state of climate finance and its implications for Bangladesh.
